Food Remedies For Blood Clotting

Blood clotting is the solidification of blood within the arteries or veins in such a way that the flow of blood in the body becomes obstructed. This is different from the popular blood clotting we know which prevents continuous loss of blood when there is a cut in the body. Blood clotting can build up gradually in a person with certain diseases like heart diseases, arteriosclerosis, arthritis and hypertension, etc and it can occur in any artery or vein. Fat people and those who sit at a place for a long time are prone to clotting.

Stroke and heart attack are common effects of blood clotting. Most of the times, however, other reasons are ascribed to these as a result of little knowledge people have about blood clotting. It is good to note that blood clotting is preventable through some life-style and diets.

The first thing that can be used to prevent blood clotting is:

Water: Drinking enough water helps to thin down the blood for proper flow within the
veins.

Garlic: The health benefits of garlic dates back to centuries. It helps to regulate blood
Lipids and also thins down the blood.

Grapefruit: Eating grapefruits reduces blood clotting, decreases blood platelet and stick
stickiness. It keeps blood vessels open and flexible.

Fish pepper soup: Pepper soup also thins down the blood in order to avoid clotting.

Other remedies to blood clotting include eating of legumes such as beans and soya, Omega 3 oil and sea foods, all in addition to regular physical exercise.
